The new MPK mini mkII from Akai Professional is an ultra-compact keyboard controller designed for the traveling musician and the desktop producer.  

 The Akai MPK MINI MKII Keyboard Controller lets you record, compose, and perform with virtual instruments, effect plugins, and DAWs  whenever inspiration strikes, giving you  a complete selection of hardware controls, including 25 velocity-sensitive synth-action keys, a 4-way thumbstick for dynamic pitch and modulation manipulation, 8 backlit velocity-sensitive MPC-style pads, and 8 assignable Q-Link knobs. To make it even better, the 8 pads have two banks, so you have virtually 16 pads literally at your fingertips.

MPK mini includes all the tools you need to work on your music, expand on your ideas and record them. Dedicated  buttons for octave choice increase the keyboard to the full  range and an onboard arpeggiator with adjustable resolution, range, and modes makes it easy to create intricate melodic lines with little effort. Plus, MPC Note Repeat and Full Level allow users to access genuine technologies from Akai Professional’s line of MPC workstations.

 

Maximum Portability

The MPK mini requires no software drivers or external power adapter. Plug-and-play with USB-MIDI, powering up with a single USB connection to your Mac or PC. Four memory banks give you plenty of storage for hardware/software presets to set up your computer and controller.

MPK mini comes complete with virtual instruments and pro production software so you can start making your music right away.SONiVOX’s Wobble is an electronic music grime synthesizer;  MPC Essentials is a groove/beat production and sample-triggering software, AIR Music Tech's Hybrid 3 is a high-definition analog and wavetable synthesizer and the MPK mini MIDI Editor is a powerful preset management application that lets you customize your hardware and software setups on your PC or Mac.
